St. Mary Catholic Church

WEDDINGS

St. Mary Catholic Church has a long history of serving, forming, and leading couples through the engagement and marriage process. Our parish is blessed with a great number of very active young couples and young children, many of whom began their marriage journey here at St. Mary. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Joe Stofleth at 425-1577.

What are the requirements to get married at St. Mary?
Either the bride or groom must to be a practicing Catholic and actively worshiping and involved at a church. Before scheduling a wedding, the interested couple will need to meet with Deacon Joe or Father  Steve to discuss our policies and practices for weddings. The couple is also required to take pre-marital classes at our parish or at the parish where they are members.

What are the costs associated with having a wedding at St. Mary?
Fee for non-parishioners is $600.00; member families $400.00. This fee only covers the use of the church. Fees for presider, musicians, and optional rental items are additional. St. Mary musicians (vocalists, accompanists, instrumentalists) are available at a fee of $150.00/person.

Can I bring in an outside priest for my wedding?
Yes, but permission needs to be given by Fr. Lintzenich. The presiding priest must make contact with Fr. Lintzenich to schedule and discuss the details of the wedding. The visiting priest also needs to complete all required sacramental paperwork.

Will St. Mary provide musicians for the wedding, or do I need to find my own?  What is the cost of St. Mary Musicians?
Professional musicians from the St. Mary community (vocalists, accompanists, instrumentalists) are available for weddings at a fee of $150.00/person.

What items are available for rental?
Aisle runners and candelabras are available for rental.  A fee schedule is included in the informational packet that couples are given when they meet with Deacon Joe Stofleth.

What are your policies on photographers and videographers?
We want to be sure that couples have the opportunity to remember their wedding day in a special way.  At the same time, our first priority is the success of the wedding liturgy as prayer and sacrament. Photographers and videographers may be present anywhere in the church through the end of the opening procession. After the bride and groom reach their seats, photographers must remain in the back of the church. Please inform your photographers of this policy, as it may affect the equipment they need to bring.

If you have any further questions or are interested in getting married at St. Mary, please contact Deacon Joe Stofleth at 425-1577.  Thank you!
